Soft drinks cause heart problems: Nope, sorry every water brand not owned by Coca-Cola or Pepsi.

Our friends at both Forbes and WVLA NBC 33 are reporting that some Bill Clinton-sponsored advertisement for water (I’m sorry ’study’) now says that as little as one can of soft drinks a day could (isn’t the word ‘could’ so wonderful?) increase the possibility of getting heart problems. Hey, you know what could also increase the possibility of getting heart problems? Living on friggen’ planet Earth!

That population consisted of more than 6,000 participants in the Framingham Heart Study, which has been following residents of a Massachusetts town since 1948.

1948. Maybe they are, um, I don’t know, getting old?

One theory is that the high sweetness of all soft drinks makes a person more prone to eat sugary, fattening foods. Another is that the caramel content of soft drinks promotes metabolic changes that lead to insulin resistance. “These are hotly debated by nutritional experts,” Vasan said.

OK, so the reason this might be happening is because the same people are eating other things that might cause them to have heart issues. Great.

So, would you like to stop drinking sodas because some idiots published a “report”? Didn’t think so.

Whole Foods CEO: 100% organic comments about their competitor…

…well, that is until they started to aquire them. So, Whole Food Market, which for those who don’t know, is an upscale rich people store which is a complete rip off. Why? I’ve been to one. There was no Coca-Cola! Or even Pepsi. Or anything good. And what’s with that sign in the meat dept., that says that ya’ll are very nice and caring to ya’ll’s livestock, then ya’ll kill them. Just feed em and serve then to me.

Anyway, is it legal for some idiot (I mean CEO’s) to bad mouth a company in order to drive down their stock price to make the price of the company cheaper to buy? Huh.
